Make a Craft for the Great Frederick Fair

This is our daughter’s clay and paper work of art that she submitted at the 2009 fair. She titled it “Ginger on Our Window Sill”, and boy was she thrilled to find her work of art with all the other crafts on Fair Day. To see the ribbon attached was an added bonus that brought a very proud smile to her 5 year old self. The fact that we still have it shows what a special memory it is. We’d like to invite Frederick County kids to submit an entry and experience the Great Frederick Fair as a participant and have the chance to feel even more a part of this annual tradition that makes Frederick such an awesome place to live and raise kids. Make a craft at home or join us to help your child craft their very own clay sculpture on a recycled cardboard mount. Keep reading if you’d like to register with us…

Registration includes a spot at our art table and all materials needed to craft a sculpy clay work of art to mount on a recyclable of your choice (bring your own if you’d like).Encourage your child to have an idea of what they want to sculpt before arriving. We’ll have student helpers on site.

Registration does NOT include baking the clay once you get home and delivering it on September 11 or 12 between 3-8pm with a $10 entry submission form. Details for fair entry here:
